Craniosacral Therapy

When you touch one thing with deep awareness, you touch everything.
— Lao Tzu

Craniosacral Therapy is a manual therapy that arose from osteopathic medicine. It is more gentle than most other touch therapies and honors these foundational principles:

  • The structure and function of the body are intimately related.

  • All body parts should move independently of their neighboring body parts.

  • The body is always seeking balance.

What Craniosacral sessions are like

In this work, I use my hands to quietly listen to the inherent rhythms of the body and assess which body parts are not moving freely.

I use gentle, therapeutic touch to engage with the patterns in the tissues of your body, restore mobility, and guide the body toward self-correction. By alleviating restrictions, tensions and imbalances within the physical body and central nervous system, one is able to find more functional alignment.

Functional alignment creates easier movement, less pain, and increases flow of the vital energy and fluids of the body. When there is a more harmonious environment within, the body is able to heal itself.

Many describe craniosacral therapy as deeply relaxing, generating a sense of wholeness and renewed connection to themselves.
